A :Keep dry
There will always be some water left in the tube after you playing the wind instrument. But water is very corrosive to wood and metal. Therefore,we should still take the trouble to wipe the instrument dry with a soft absorbent cloth after each playing, especially in humid and rainy areas, it is particularly important to keep the instrument dry.
B: Keep it clean
The saxophone has a complex structure, with dozens of sound holes and keys. If it is not cleaned regularly, dust and dirt will easily accumulate on the key shafts, key rods and springs, which will seriously affect the mechanical performance of the instrument and make it difficult to play. The body of the instrument can be cleaned with a cleaning and polishing agent suitable for cleaning metal products.Dust can be removed with an ordinary soft brush.
C :Keep it flexible
The change of saxophone tone is mainly achieved by the change of keys and tone holes, so the keys should be highly flexible. Special key oil should be dripped regularly to enhance its flexibility and prevent rust. In addition, we remind you to avoid pressing the keys when placing the instrument between each playing.
